Accommodation
It’s easy to spend 100 dollars per day on accommodation: it’s still possible to find a bed (and not much more) for a few dollars.

All backpackers want to travel for the longest time and at the least cost: sharing a room is the norm.

Sleeping in a tent, a hammock, under the stars, in terminals or staying with a local doesn’t cost anything.

You never know what awaits you in the evening…but I always found it good to vary and alternate places.

Food
A good restaurant or a buffet with as much as you want, what a joy!

After some time on the road, the stomach becomes hardened and is receptive to all the dishes served locally at little cost in the street or the markets.

Wherever the train or truck stops, you stock up cheaply for the remainder of the journey.

Spending hours squashed in a bus creates bonds and often ends with an invitation for a meal.

There is something for every taste.
